Phoenix Smart City Hack
The Smart City Hack (SCH) is an international competition that brings together hundreds of startups and entrepreneurs from around the world. SCH challenges these teams and individuals to create technology solutions that will help build smarter, better and more sustainable cities and improve the quality of life for residents in cities around the world.
The second annual competition will encourage more collaboration and have a greater focus on technology. Unlike the first competition, which only invited app companies to compete, this year’s SCH will be open to all technologies (IoT, hardware, software, mobile apps etc...).
Participants in the Phoenix SCH are challenged to create and submit tech solutions in one of five global civic Challenge Areas: Public Transit & Mobility, Health and Wellness, Energy and Sustainability, Civic Engagement, and Culture and Tourism.
Interested businesses, teams and individuals are invited to take part in the competition and submit projects.
The winner of the Phoenix SCH will travel to Barcelona to represent the Phoenix at the Smart City Expo in November. In addition to an all-expenses paid trip to Barcelona, the Phoenix winner will receive a $3,000 cash prize to help develop their business.
